The Collins Companies is embarking on a new Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood products venture in conjunction
with GreenWood
Tree Farms (GWTF) and GreenWood
Resources (GWR). Collins is building, and
will operate, a state-of-the-art sawmill, along with marketing the mill’s
products. GreenWood will manage the 35,000-acre FSC certified forest.
Pacific Albus™ is a hardwood species ideal for a variety of uses
including moulding & millwork, cut stock, furniture applications, pallet
stock, and much more. Because it’s tree farm grown, the quality of
the product is consistent, uniform, and — importantly, always available.
It is also certified under the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship
Council’s Plantation Standards.
Trial volumes of Pacific Albus are already available.
Just contact us to discuss your needs. Commercial volumes will be ready
for delivery following the mills completion in April 2008. Logs and chips
can be ordered for immediate delivery.

All of GWTF’s Pacific Albus tree farm operations are
certified under the Principles
and Criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council’s Plantation Standards (SCS-
FM/COC-00034P) and managed by GWR.
All of our Pacific Albus tree farm operations are, or will be within the next few months, certified under the Principles and Criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. Plantations shall be planned and managed in accordance with Principles and Criteria 1 - 9, and Principle 10 and its Criteria. While plantations can provide an array of social and economic benefits, and can contribute to satisfying the world’s needs for forest products, they should complement the management of, reduce pressures on, and promote the restoration and conservation of natural forests.
